The yards surrounding this home were reconstructed to create better usable space and smoother circulation
Before on the left, after on the right.
The existing stone-paved patio was extended further into the backyard, providing more space for an inviting outdoor room. In addition, the curving outdoor furniture makes traffic flow nicely next to the angles of the architecture.
The existing straight paving edge was broken to make the patio extension seamless. Cleaning and matching the Arizona Flagstone and grout color were paramount.
The rear planting bed received an update, featuring new plantings and a focal point anchored by the granite water feature.
New matching stone steps, an outdoor kitchen, a dining area, and a large raised cedar vegetable bed compose this functional family gathering space.
The new front yard planting scheme is designed to provide ordered layering, longer site lines, a better sense of destination, and comfort as one travels the pathways.
